Ingredients to make Oriental Cabbage Salad

1 1/2 tb Oil, olive
3 tb Lemon juice
1 1/2 tb Balsamic vinegar
1/2 c Rice vinegar
1 1/2 ts Maple syrup
3/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper, black, ground
1/4 ts Pepper, cayenne
6 c Red cabbage; thinly sliced
3/8 c Parsley, chopped
3 tb Cilantro, chopped
3/8 c Onions, red, minced

Directions to make Oriental Cabbage Salad

Step 1:In a large bowl, combine oil, lemon juice, vinegars, maple syrup, salt, black pepper, and cayenne. Toss with cabbage; let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.
Step 2:Taste for seasoning and adjust if necessary, toss in parsley, cilantro and red onion. Serve at room temperature.

This quick, easy, delicious recipe is a nice change from regular mashed potatoes, and is so very creamy!

Ingredients to make Colcannon (Irish)

4 md Peeled potatoes
60 g Butter
170 ml Warm milk
40 g Chopped spring onions
300 g Shredded cabbage
Ground pepper
1 tb Parsley (chopped)

Directions to make Colcannon (Irish)

Step 1:Melted butter. Quarter potatoes & boil for 15 mins until tender. Place potatoes in a bowl and mash
Step 2:Boil cabage for 10 minutes, drain well. Melt butter in a large pan. Add cabbage and spring onion and cook for 60 seconds. Add cabbage mixture to bowl of mash and add milk gradually until a creamy consistency has been achieved.
Step 3:Season with the ground black pepper and serve. May be garnished with chopped parsley .
